Many veterans suffer from "invisible wounds" that have affected them in ways that are subtle yet quite damaging. These invisible wounds are now called PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), which I prefer to refer to as "soldier's heart," the term that was used to describe PTSD during and after the Civil War."

My name is Brian Delate, and I'm a Vietnam veteran as well as the creator of Restore Our Soldiers, a movie about PTSD Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The incredible and deeply rewarding journey to start this website began with the personal and inspiring movie I wrote, directed and acted in called Soldier's Heart (and starring James Kiberd and Cady McClain), about a vet's journey to restore himself from soldier's heart, and how this affects his relationship with his family and friends. My hope is that my movie and this community will help others share their soldier's heart and ultimately find restoration for their wounds as I have done through the making of this movie.

I created this Restore Our Soldiers Community for all of us who have been affected by soldier's heart to begin and continue our restoration.
